How the Web Was Won

I have seen the new AOL 2.5 version, and although it's headed in the right
direction, it's nowhere close to what it needs to be. All they did was embed
an AVI and WAV player in their software for "multimedia". The web browser is
crippled, at best. I'm only using at 14.4 and it's still in beta-test stage,
so I don't want to make any rash judgements (beyond those). I think the real
point here is that the general population is soon to arrive, and will flood
and therefore change web-life.

I work for the technology division of Scholastic Inc, the world's largest
publisher of educational texts and magazines. We currently have an internet
center (http://scholastic.com:2005) and a private area on AOL (keyword
"scholastic"). Members need to upgrade from their basic AOL accounts to be
able to participate in Scholastic Network.
(Does this add validity?)
