Jeremy,

Choking on what is entered in the data entry forms is a HUGE problem. I
haven't experienced it, but as I said, I haven't used their browser more than
a few hours total.

I guess they have a small out in that this is a "preview" version rather than
an official release. They only started leveraging their millions on
net-centric compainies last fall, so it hasn't been a year yet...but,
your point is well taken. Booklink seemed to have a usable browser and
Prodigy was able to integrate a browser, so yeah, AOL should be able to
pull it off. Let's see what they roll with in their official release.

It is in AOL's interest not to "slap publishers in the face" and it is in
the publishers interest to pressure AOL into having a usable browser.
Whether the publisher has any affiliation with AOL or not, they certainly
want access to their customer base. If AOL's browser isn't satisfactory
upon release, Web sites might start putting up "Using AOL? Click here to
find options that will actually allow you to use this site..."

Robert

P.S. Thanks for the explanation of transparent GIFs.
