Everyone here knows the main news, but I would like some comment on the last
sentence quoted below.

By Dwight Silverman, Houston Chronicle
Knight-Ridder/Tribune Business News
"America Online is making a preview version of its World Wide Web
browser available, becoming the last of the "Big Three" information services
to provide access to the popular Internet feature.
The new software - now available only to computer owners with Microsoft
Windows on their machines - won't be officially unveiled until later this
week, America Online spokeswoman Judy Tashbook said.
. . .
The browser can be slow, but Tashbook said Web pages selected by America
Online subscribers are stored in the system's computers for 24 hours. Once
one subscriber has looked at a page, it will load faster for anyone else who
looks at it within a day."

Will this caching mean that pages with more-than-once-daily updates (stocks,
etc.) will not be accurate? Or will the caching just save time for the
graphics?

Any technically knowledgeable opinions would be appreciated.

Cheers,

ps - I have been using the Mac beta browser (no Windows access currently).
Word from AOL folks is that the Mac version does not have the same
functionality as the Windows version--quite believable, IMHO.
